Preservé™ Breast Augmentation is a modern way to enhance your shape while keeping what’s naturally yours. Preservé™ is a minimally-invasive breast augmentation technique developed to improve the patient experience and the final outcome. Unlike a traditional breast augmentation, Preservé™ works to preserve as much of your own tissue and to cause as little trauma as possible. With less trauma, smaller incisions, and a less invasive approach, patients can also look forward to a shorter recovery period and a decreased risk of complications, including bleeding and capsular contracture. This means less swelling and discomfort as well.
During the procedure, your surgeon will create a breast pocket within the breast tissue that will hold your breast implant securely. Your surgeon takes precise steps to shape this pocket and ensure the breast implant sits naturally, helping you achieve results that look like your own breasts.
Preservé™ can also be combined with a breast lift and other cosmetic procedures for a full body rejuvenation.
Preserve is perfect for patients looking for larger and fuller breasts but who want more natural-looking results, minimal downtime, a less invasive approach, and fewer complications. You also need to be in good overall health, have realistic expectations of treatment, be a nonsmoker or willing to quit before or after surgery, and not have any medical conditions that could negatively affect the surgical or healing process.
Preservé™ can also be perfect for anyone looking to enhance their breasts, but who isn’t able or willing to go under general anesthesia. We use a local anesthetic and mild sedation to help you feel comfortable.
During your consultation with Dr. Crantford, will review your medical history, discuss your concerns, answer any questions you have, examine your breasts, and then determine if this is the right treatment for you.
On the day of surgery, we’ll start by administering local anesthetic and light sedation to ensure you’re completely comfortable throughout the procedure. From there, Dr. Crantford will make small incisions in and around the breast and use the Preservé™ instruments to create the specialized breast pocket while preserving the pectoral muscle and as much tissue as possible. From there, they will gently place the implant into the pocket. Once both breasts are done, the incisions will be closed, and you’ll be able to start your recovery process.
The whole procedure takes less than 45 minutes, and as an outpatient procedure, you can return home the same day.
Recovery from Preservé™ is generally faster and more comfortable than with traditional breast augmentation. During the first few days after surgery, many women notice only mild soreness and swelling, which can be comfortably managed with medications, a compression garment, and resting as much as possible.
As you heal, your swelling will gradually dissipate, and your discomfort will fade. You will also want to limit your activities for a few days, but most patients can return to work within a couple of days. By two to three weeks, most patients are cleared to resume their regular exercise routine,

Some of the results will be visible immediately, but it can take 1-2 weeks for the implants to settle. That said, it can take up to six months for the implants to fully settle and for all swelling and bruising to subside.
