What To Know Before You Go
We recommend planning to stay in the area for about a week after most procedures or closer to 2 after a larger procedure such as a tummy tuck or mommy makeover. You may want to invite a trusted loved one to stay with you to keep you company and look after you as you recuperate.
You will have follow-up appointments with your surgeon during this time to check on your healing, remove sutures as needed, and discuss future follow-ups. Your surgeon will clear you to fly home when appropriate, which is typically a week or 2 after surgery.
