Breast BEFORE & AFTER Patient 194: Breast Augmentation for Asymmetry
*Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

Before & After
A 26-year-old female patient underwent bilateral breast augmentation performed by Dr. Crantford in Charleston, South Carolina. Motiva RSF implants were selected, with a 500cc implant placed in the right breast and a 425cc implant placed in the left breast to optimize symmetry and achieve the patient’s desired breast volume. The procedure was tailored to complement the patient’s natural anatomy while creating balanced, proportionate, and natural-looking results. Photos are shown at 8 weeks post-op.
A 75cc difference between implants, as used in this case, reflects a more pronounced degree of natural asymmetry than many augmentation patients present with. Rather than compromising on a single implant size, Dr. Crantford selected volumes specific to each side so the larger breast wasn’t left disproportionately smaller, or the smaller breast overcorrected. At 8 weeks post-op, this patient shows well-balanced, proportionate results despite the more significant starting asymmetry.
Can breast augmentation correct asymmetry?
Yes. Nearly every patient has some degree of natural breast asymmetry, and in more pronounced cases like this one, Dr. Crantford selects meaningfully different implant volumes for each side to achieve a balanced, proportionate result rather than a compromise size for both breasts.
What is recovery like at 8 weeks post-op?
By 8 weeks, most patients are well past the initial swelling and discomfort phase, with implants continuing to settle into their final position. Any residual firmness or minor asymmetry in swelling typically resolves over the following weeks.
