A BETTER IMPLANT, BUILT DIFFERENTLY

Motiva implants represent the most significant advancement in breast implant technology in over a decade — the first new breast implant to receive FDA premarket approval since 2013.

Every element has been re-engineered from the surface texture to the silicone fill to the shell itself. The result is an implant that responds to your body naturally, minimizes complications, and is backed by one of the most comprehensive safety profiles available today.

THE TECHNOLOGY INSIDE

Five proprietary innovations working together to deliver a superior result.

Surface Technology

SMOOTHSILK®

A nano-textured surface with uniform 4-micron particles — smooth enough to minimize friction and bacterial attachment, yet structured enough to promote healthy tissue integration. Lower inflammatory response means a dramatically reduced risk of capsular contracture.

Shell Design

TRUEMONOBLOC®

Unlike traditional implants with multiple bonded layers, TrueMonobloc integrates the shell and gel as a single continuous structure. The result is a more resilient implant that withstands over 4 million mechanical stress cycles — equivalent to more than 45 years of use — and allows insertion through a smaller incision.

Gel Technology

PROGRESSIVEGEL®

An advanced silicone fill that closely mimics the density and movement of natural breast tissue. Available in two formulations — ProgressiveGel Plus for stable round projection and ProgressiveGel Ultima for dynamic, gravity-responsive behavior.

Safety Barrier

BLUSEAL®

A blue-tinted barrier layer built into the shell that serves two purposes: it prevents silicone gel bleed, and it provides a visual indicator of shell integrity during surgery. Your surgeon can confirm the implant is fully intact before closing.

Identification

QID® MICRO-TRANSPONDER

Each Motiva implant contains a tiny RFID chip that stores its serial number, size, and manufacturing details. This allows your surgeon to quickly and non-invasively identify your implants at any time after surgery — no guesswork, no imaging required.

TWO OPTIONS, ONE STANDARD

Both FDA-approved Motiva styles feature the same SmoothSilk surface, TrueMonobloc shell, and BluSeal barrier. The difference is how they move.

Classic Choice

ROUND

ProgressiveGel Plus®
Motiva SmoothSilk Round breast implant with ProgressiveGel Plus
Motiva SmoothSilk® Round

A refined round implant that maintains consistent upper pole fullness and projection in every position. Ideal for patients who want a fuller, more defined look.

 • Maintains round shape in all positions

 • Consistent upper pole fullness

 • Three projection profiles available

 • Wide range of sizes (~50cc to 625cc)

Ideal For

Patients seeking a fuller, rounder breast shape with defined upper pole projection.

Dynamic Choice

ERGONOMIX®

ProgressiveGel Ultima®
Motiva SmoothSilk Round breast implant with ProgressiveGel Plus
Motiva SmoothSilk® Ergonomix®

A gravity-responsive implant that changes shape with your body — round when lying down, gently tapered when upright. The most natural-feeling implant available.

 • Adapts to body position in real time

 • Mimics natural breast tissue movement

 • No risk of rotational displacement

 • Smaller incision required for placement

Ideal For

Patients who prioritize natural movement and a result that looks and feels like their own tissue.

SIZING & PROJECTION PROFILES

Projection — sometimes called profile — describes how far the implant extends forward from your chest wall. Combined with volume and base width, it determines how your result looks in proportion to your frame. Both Round and Ergonomix are available in all three profiles.

Lowest Projection

MINI

105 – 525 cc

The widest base with the gentlest forward projection. Creates a subtle, natural slope — ideal for patients who want enhancement without an obvious change.

Moderate Projection

DEMI

135 – 625 cc

A balanced profile that blends noticeable volume with a proportionate, naturally rounded shape. The most versatile option for a wide range of body types.

Higher Projection

FULL

145 – 775 cc

Greater forward projection on a narrower base. Delivers a fuller, more prominent upper pole — often chosen by patients who want a rounder, more defined look.

The right profile depends on your anatomy, your goals, and how you want your result to look in proportion to your body. We will walk you through every option during your consultation.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What makes Motiva different from other breast implants?

Motiva is a sixth-generation breast implant built on five proprietary technologies that work together. The SmoothSilk surface reduces capsular contracture risk, the TrueMonobloc shell provides superior durability and enables smaller incisions, and the ProgressiveGel fill responds naturally to gravity and movement. These are not incremental improvements — they represent a fundamental redesign of what a breast implant can be.

Are Motiva implants FDA approved?

Yes. Motiva received FDA premarket approval (PMA) — the most rigorous regulatory pathway available. It was the first new breast implant PMA approved by the FDA since 2013. Motiva is also approved in over 85 countries worldwide, with more than a decade of clinical data supporting its safety and performance.

What is the difference between Round and Ergonomix?

Round implants (ProgressiveGel Plus) maintain consistent shape and upper pole fullness in every position — ideal for patients wanting a fuller, more defined result. Ergonomix implants (ProgressiveGel Ultima) respond to gravity, subtly shifting from round when lying down to a natural teardrop when upright. Ergonomix is for patients who prioritize the most natural look and feel possible. We will help you determine which is best for your anatomy and goals during your consultation.

Is the incision really smaller?

Yes. The TrueMonobloc shell design allows the implant to be inserted through an incision nearly half the standard size. A smaller incision typically means less scarring, less tissue disruption, and a potentially faster recovery.

What about the risk of capsular contracture?

Motiva’s clinical data shows a capsular contracture rate of less than 1% in primary augmentation patients — significantly lower than historical rates for traditional implants. This is largely attributed to the SmoothSilk surface, which was specifically engineered to promote healthy tissue interaction and minimize the inflammatory response associated with capsule formation.

How long do Motiva implants last?

In laboratory testing, Motiva’s TrueMonobloc shell withstands over 4 million mechanical stress cycles, equivalent to more than 45 years of simulated use. The five-year rupture rate is just 0.6%. While no implant is guaranteed to last forever, Motiva’s durability data is among the strongest available in the industry.

What does the consultation process involve?

Your consultation is a conversation. We discuss your goals, evaluate your anatomy, review your options (including implant type, size, projection, and placement), and answer every question you have. There is no pressure. Our goal is to make sure you feel fully informed and confident in your decision before moving forward.
